Dialogue's default algorithm displays personalized recommendations per user. However, it is common for merchants to want in specific cases to control the specific products that are displayed in a carousel.
Considering this, Dialogue's platform allows to the creation and setting of rules to have full control on the products displayed.
Note: It's effective to showcase products that will attract the attention of the right potential customers. In order to do so, you can create different rules for different segments of audience (see: "Segments for automatic assets").
How to create a rule for a carousel asset:
Go to Assets-> My Assets and click the "edit" button
under "Segments" tab, click on "Product rules: No rules assigned" to go into the rules tab.
A tab will open with a list of ready-to-use rules. In this case, as we want to control the specific products shown, we will now use any of them. Instead, click on "+Create Custom Rule":
Under Custom Feed Rule, choose "SKU"
Next, make sure you chose the right condition-
Equal to- to include products: meaning, choosing products under SKU equals to , will display that product.
Different from- to exclude products: meaning, choosing products under SKU different from, will always NOT display that product.
Clicking on Value will open a drop-down of your products you can choose from.
If you want to add more than one product, add it in the same rule and just after adding all of the relevant SKUs click on "add rule".
Once you click on "add rule" you will see how many products apply to the rules you added.
