Creating and designing an asset is a great start πŸ˜‰ But now we need to embed it so the shoppers can see it πŸš€

  1. Choose a page type (Homepage, Product page, collection pages etc.)

  2. Position on page (several methods)

Page Type Positioning - As a rule of thumb, assets are positioned based on page types. When positioning an asset on a page type, product pages for example, the asset will be positioned on all product pages, exceptions can be stipulated.

We have included several preset locations: Product pages, collection pages, collection list, search page, cart page, cart drawer page, homepage, 404 page, thank you page and Other.

From the Position tab choose your page type

Dialogue offers 5 methods to position assets!
So first, choose your page type

Then, choose a positioning method:

  1. Shopify Blocks - For Shopify 2.0 merchants.

  2. Copy & Paste the HTML tag - Simply copy & paste where you want the asset to appear. Best for:

    1. Code oriented individuals or teams.

    2. Positionig assets on mini, floating or popup carts.

  3. Point & Position Tool - Let the browser preview window finish loading, make sure it's the page type you wanted for positioning, and then literally point to where you want to position your asset. Best for:

    1. Platforms where the code editor is not reachable.

    2. 3rd party website's development.

  4. Use Live Site - Will redirect you to your site in a new tab and open a dialogue Point & Position element on that tag. Use when:

    1. Dialogue is not able to load a preview of your site.

  5. Use CSS Selector - An advanced manually operated version of Point & Position.

I want to position my asset only on a specific page in my store

By choosing the Other page type, you can embed your asset in a specific URL.

Paste the URL you want the asset to appear in > Add.

Switch to the Advanced tab where you can choose:

  • Specific locations your asset will be positioned on or excluded from.

  • Specific devices your asset will appear: desktop, mobile or both, depending on your platform's ability.
